The Bible say we should fight the good fight. What fight, is there a battle I’m not aware of? There is a fight. Many Christians are not aware of the battle or the fight. The usual casual Christian goes to church, reads his Bible, and prays. But is the casual Christian in the fight and battle against the evil of this world.

First, the Question is do or should Christians Actually physically fight. Remember, Jesus asked the disciples to bring a sword to the garden of olives. Jesus took a rope and through the money changers out of the Temple. There will be times when a Christian has to go beyond prayer. The devil will use all his tools to fight, we should be ready to do the same.

Prayers are still a strong part of the battle for our souls. I have been in that many times on my knees. The strength of a Christian is always on our knees. As Paul said in my weakness you Lord are my strength. I can only battle with the Lord at my side, his strength is my weakness.

Many think good is what the world is made of, but the world on it’s own is evil. There are many in this world with hearts of stone that will never acknowledge or come to Jesus for forgiveness. We have to be aware and ready for the realization that some people don’t want Jesus or God. We have to at that time pray and commit to the Lord that some are lost. Not all people have their name written in the Book of Life.

So what kind of physical battle will we encounter. I don’t know. The question is not what kind of battle but will I face a fight. The Lord said we will not face anything beyond what we can bear, but I feel we have to be ready for any scenario. I was never in the military, taught combat skills. There still are some times even a non-soldier has to be willing to stand and fight, come what may.

Many retired in the intelligence agencies says that this and many other countries are on the verge of change. These people still have friends in the works and get feedback on intel. The open border, the lost count of illegals, known terrorists set free, and the cartels having free reign in our country near the border. These are all elements for disaster, but does this give us reason to fight? God will tell when the time comes. We never know the time, but readiness is a good thing,

What I'm finally saying is don't be a stand on the side lines Christian. Being a believer and follower of Christ is not a passive idea. Being a true Christian is a very active and outward thing. A stranger meeting you for the first time should not have to grabble with a thought of is he a Christian or not. Your demeanor should radiate with the joy and actions saying I am a disciple of Jesus. So some day if you have to defend and give for the sake of faith in Christ, you are ready. You are ready to do whatever the Lord says he needs you to do.
