This title intro makes no sense, right! Actually, by the end of my discussion I hope you will see the reason for the title. Love vs Love is a tragic reality of life today. You hear the questions "What is love?", "Let there be love.", and "All it takes is love." What does this mean for me as a follower of Christ? I hope to show you that like in the greek language where love is expressed in many different words, our word for love does mean and is used today to mean many different feelings. But what I hope to illustrate to you what the difference between true Christian love and the types of worldly love.

"For God so Loved the World that He sent his only Son." This passage states a love the world doesn't understand, a love so profound that God gives his Son to save the world. No a simple statement. To save the world His Son would have to be completely utterly rejected by His Father to pay for the sins of all. A debt so great we humanly can not fathom. This is the meaning of love a Christian understands beyond the world's love.

As a Christian we have a personal relationship with the Lord and Jesus Christ our Savior. It is nat a religion like the world wants to think. We know Jesus like a brother that he truly is. We pray and this is our way of conversing and understanding our brother Jesus. He answers our prayers in our life and interactions of the world around us. What love this is.

The world looks at love so much differently. The writer to Timothy said it best, "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy," KJV II Timothy 3:2 The love that defines these men is of the world, shallow, of themselves, no thoughts of any thing or being beyond the sinful world they live in. This love has no thought of God, Savior, or a Holy Spirit dwelling with them. There is no thought beyond the time that is and no thought of eternity.

.

Take a moment to look around you, the world we live in. How does the television show love; quick sex outside of marriage, disregard for others, lawlessness for the sake of yourself and not thinking of the harm. Love of self so fiercely that a person would harm or change ones body. Love that sees physical love and true love in the body, whether it is the same look you had at birth. Male or Male, Female or Female. It throws off so much confusion that young minds don't know what to think or do to really feel and know the love a God that created this world wants for that young mind.

I know the love of God, the love of a Savior for my sins, the love of a Spirit from God that guides me. I also know that love can't be quiet or sit still. I take the love I know and try to be active with it. I tell others when ever the moment presents itself. I say a silent pray for the words that only the Spirit can give me. Boldly, I speak to the person and pray that a seed is planted that one day will grow and bare fruit.

Don't be afraid of true love. Show the true love, live the true love, and tell others of the true love of the Savior Jesus Christ.
