Have you ever thought about the characteristics of a person, a family, a community, or a nation a country? If you think about what it is to be from England, or to be from Japan, or from Ireland. When we think of the people from any country outside of our own, we put certain mannerisms, beliefs and characteristics. But for the final look into a person, a family, or a nation; does it have a soul?

The soul of a nation are the people or citizens of that nation, we are the soul of the United States. How we interact with each other, interact with our government, and the world shows the outside world the soul of the Untied States. As I see the portrait of the soul of this nation today, our soul is moving toward where it should always be. We were founded under Christian principles and beliefs. The Bible is the book on which our leaders swore their allegiants to this great Nation.

In the past recent years being a Christian was a distain. We all know that Obama was not a Christian, and under his presidency the many churches and organizations were put upon by the IRS. The public schools were not a place for any kind of show of faith. A simple display of a cross would get you a call to the principle's office. Under Biden the situation got even worst. Christian churches were spied upon, parents who spook out were put on the FBI watch list, some churches were even vandalized and burned.

But something amazing happened, the spread of the Gospel never stopped. In fact under such persecution the believers grew, the voice of the Lord could not be diminished, and the people of America woke up. We once again became a Nation of prayer, hope, grace, and love. When a nation puts the Lord Jesus Christ first it thrives and grows, the rest of the world sees the results.

In the Old Testament we have example after example of the nation of Judea having good kings or bad kings. When a good faithful king would come to reign in Jerusalem the nation would thrive and grow. The surrounding countries would not invade or challenge Judea because being faithful the Lord was fight for and protecting the people. When a evil bad king would reign, the Lord turned his back to Judea. The land would be ravaged by invaders, the people captured, and even land taken away. So when the king and the people turn back to the Lord and prayed and worshiped HIM, the land would be protected and thieve.

The last poem I wrote in my book is titled "God's Nation". I still believe those two words. We were founded on Judeo-Christian values. I can see in the history of our country that the Hand of the Lord was directing the United States to be a great nation and leader in the world. Only through steadfast prayer and following Jesus can we continue our leadership. So, for the strength and the direction that this nation needs daily get done on our knees and pray. Pray for our leaders, pray they have the wisdom of Solomon, the trust of David, and the strength of Samson. For only with the Lord on our side can we be the nation the Lord wants us to be.

Thy will be done, Lord. Amen
