Praying for the Nation

Today is three days to the midterm elections for November 8, 2022. Many feel this is one of the most critical elections in our nation compared to all other election cycles in our past history. We, as a nation are voting for the freedom of what our nation was founded upon. Yes, I am a conservative Christian. Not a radical that is portrayed by many in the media and democratic politicians. I look and act like anybody else, except I live and breathe my faith for all to see and hear. If that is radical so, be it.

On the other side of the spectrum is the non-biblical view, period. Yes, I am very sure about this statement. The other side wants to control what we say or do. We can't voice out opinion in public. We can't read the Bible in public schools, at some universities, or even in a public square. This is not the state of a free nation, but a nation of control and fixed speech like the book 1984.

We must all pray, continually for our nation. A prayer of a righteous man is like a fresh fragrance of a flower to the ears of the Lord. Pray without ceasing for we have to save our country from the evil that has been injected and is trying to take it over. For we know that a people that rejects the Lord, these people the Lord will also reject. Remember what the Psalmist said, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Psalm 33:12.

In my book "Psalms to Inspire" I wrote a poem at the end called God's Nation. In this poem I follow how our nation was started and all along the way illustrating that God's hand was with this nation. He was guiding this Nation to greatness so that we as a great country would be able to help facilitate the spreading of the Gospel throughout all the world. I prayed at the end for a great leader to bring us back to God. Did it happen, yes for a little while. But the devil and the evil of this world would have nothing to do with the revival of us to God's Nation. Satan has fought to keep us on the path to downfall.

We all most vote to put the good Christian servants in places of power both locally and nationally to help bring this country back to God, the true founder of this country. Pray that this will happen on election day. God be with us all.

Lord, Father of our country, Savior from sin, death and the devil. We come to you pleading for the saving of the United States of America. Many of our leaders and servants in power have lost their way and are taking our country down a path to destruction. Please be with us and guide and help us to restore you Lord God to the head of this Nation as you were in the past. We know if we do not get your help we are lost. As Paul the apostle once said we are weak, but you are strong. In weakness you are the strength a nation needs to endure to become a leading Christian nation. Please help us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

It is interesting how the conservative Christian is painted as the controlling, oppressive force and yet it is the "progressive" who literally punishes "thought crimes."

Quite right to continue to pray and live out loud that faith may grow.
