Where is my Country?

Many of you reading this have probably asked the same question? I have been on this earth now 7 decades. I have seen a lot and experienced more than most people. I have been to the 48 continental United States. The beauty of this country is beyond what I could have imagined our God to have created. Yet today, I can only see the decline of what God has created.

My reasons for seeing this country in decline are many and only one reason at the same time. Our people that govern us are taking away from the beauty and gifts this country has to offer. There is a hidden evil that has taken the beings and souls of too many people. The worship and praises to our Lord are no longer a part of our being. There is blurring of what is a person or a creation of God.

If you look at the deeper thoughts I have in these reasons. The culprit is sin, the devil, the world, and the flesh. Yes, we see a revival going in many parts of the country and the world. Is it good? Yes Is it the right answer. I don't know, only God can look at the heart. But I also see the emptiness of some who say they are worshiping and serving the Lord, when in fact the action they take concerning abortion, sexuality, and marriage shows that they are not a follower of Jesus or the true word of GOD.

Just as God told Elijah at a time when he felt alone and thought no believers were left, God said "Yet I reserved seven thousand in Israel all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him." I Kings 19:18 NIV You and I know that Jesus has reserved and saved many in this land that have not bowed to the Left(abortion, gender identity, same sex marriage, or other perversions).

I do not brag I just state. I am a follower of Christ Jesus. I prayer daily and often. I am a WELS Lutheran. Daily I come to the Lord's Word for study and help. I weep for the sins I do and cannot control. I pray for the Lord's forgiveness. I pray for wisdom and a stronger faith. I praise and give back to the Lord for the blessings He has given me.

So I pray for this country to turn truly back to the Lord. In our pledge of allegiance to the Flag we state "one Nation under God" This not a blind promise, but a sincere statement that this country was founded on the principal of believe in one GOD. If we as a country have lost the idea that GOD is in control. That GOD was the one that help found and lead this country on the road to greatness. We are lost.

I don't think we are that far gone yet, but we have to turn the country around soon or we will be lost. I pray daily for our country. I pray the forces gathered against us be set aside and/or defeated. I hope and pray that we continue to be the light of hope and faith. The country where people can come and be followers of Jesus without the fear of persecution or worst death. For with our country we have the freedom to train and equip others to go out and spread the Word of GOD, Christ is our Savior, Jesus is real and here to save all from sin.

Continue to pray with me daily to save our country from the ravages of the Left. The world and the devil are working over time to take us down. I pray not on my watch..
